The passionate team of dress fitters, seamstresses and tailors are skilled in working with all bridal styles, from simple slip bridal wear to complex embellished and corseted couture gowns. With sister company Design & Alter, specialising in the alterations of luxury and designer fashion, the team is well-equipped to support brides in realising their unique bridal vision with alterations, bespoke tailoring and accessories.

The team focuses on creating the best bridal experience and the perfect silhouette for every bride on her wedding day. B&A nurtures individual bridal choices, styles and accessories, from new to vintage and family heirloom pieces, to restoration, preservation and restyling.

The team takes pride in working with renowned bridal stockists and designer in London and beyond, including Lovely Bride, Love Story, Catherine Deane, Suzanne Neville, Pronovias, Phillipa Lepley, Sunday’s Bride, Bon Bridé, and Bridal Rogue Gallery. Brides regularly buy their wedding dresses in their hometowns but work in London. B&A partners outside of London include Anna Bridal, Ringwood, Amare at Coppice, and the White Closet in Manchester.

The Company

We are a team of creative, highly-skilled, and experienced professionals of seamstresses, technicians, fitters, and tailors. We have specialists in bespoke dressmaking, bridal and evening wear alterations possessing all the skills required to work with any dress, whatever its complexity or construction. Our formal suit tailors look after clients’ jackets and suits and we also work with leather and fur.

Fitting Studio & Workroom

Our comfortable and spacious fitting studios are at 14 Ingate Place, Battersea. Here, we welcome our brides, their friends, and families. It is easy to get to by car and public transport. Bride & Alter shares its separate spacious, light-flooded workroom with its sister company, the renowned Design & Alter. The state-of-the-art workroom is also in Battersea, nearby.
