Since last year, we have partnered with Love Story London and take pride in caring for Love Story brides with expert bridal alterations. We aim to demonstrate professionalism and showcase our alteration expertise in each Love Story wedding dress, ensuring the best bridal fit on the bride’s wedding day.

Although Love Story London offers a highly customisable made-to-order bridal service, most bridal gowns still need some adjustments and alterations. We meticulously alter Love Story dresses to create the ideal bridal silhouette. The wedding dress sits perfectly on a bride’s shoulders and bust; we shape the waist and hips and adjust the length precisely to work well with the bride’s shoes and heel height. With the perfect fit, brides enjoy comfort and confidence on their wedding day, truly celebrating being the centre of attention.

‘Love Story’ bridal was established by Laura Shepherd in 2014 as an exclusive in-house label in Bath. The brand has distinguished itself within the bridal industry. The British label now features a London flagship and is represented by stockists throughout the UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia.

Love Story London offers a comprehensive range of beautiful dress styles, backed by excellent customer service. Dress options include corseted ball gowns, sheath gowns, and fishtail gowns.

The Dresses

Each dress style is a feminine statement, made for the modern bride. Although the brand is known for quality tailoring, its wedding gowns remain affordable. The brand’s trademark is luxurious fabrics like satin, crepe, chiffon, and lace. A wide range of accessories encourages brides to customise their bridal look and make it their own.

Appointments: We work by appointment, within which you will be looked after by one of our experienced fitting consultants. They will advise you on alterations needed to fit your bridal wear well. A price estimate will be established at the end of the fitting for you to decide whether or not you are comfortable going forward with the alteration. We can offer a variety of solutions to alter your garment; some might save costs. Please ask.

*Please bring your shoes to your appointment or some with a similar heel height as well as your undergarments to ensure we can fit your bridal garments perfectly.

Fittings are available in our spacious studio in Battersea.

Charges: Due to many styles and finishes, it is difficult to provide an estimate for you on the phone. We need to see your bridal wear, the inside construction and also you wearing it. Charges for similar alterations may vary, in particular for complex, constructed dresses and heavily detailed designer wear. Our bridal charges are based on time at a rate of £90 per hour. For bridal alterations closer to your wedding date than 6 weeks, express charges will apply.

Discounts: We offer a 25% discount on the alterations for all members of the bridal party including bridesmaids, mother-of-the-brides and grooms, the groom and the father-of-the-bride or groom.
